Who is Dr. Muna Al Marzouki?

On February 17, 2022, Qatar University decided to appoint Dr. Muna Mostafa Al Marzouki as Dean of the College of Law at the university, succeeding Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, who was appointed Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Regional Affairs.
Dr. Al Marzouki had previously held the position of Assistant Vice President for Planning and Quality Assurance at Qatar University. She was also appointed as a judge at the Qatar International Court, which operates under the Qatar Financial Centre. Additionally, she serves as the Head of Strategy and Development at Qatar University. She practiced law for several years and founded Muna Al Marzouki Law Firm, which is considered one of the most prominent law firms in Qatar.
Dr. Muna Al Marzouki holds a Ph.D. in Law from Tulane University and a Master’s degree in Law from the University of California, USA. She has taught and trained at the Legal and Judicial Studies Center at the Ministry of Justice and has worked as a research and graduate studies assistant at the College of Law at Qatar University. She also served as a trainer for officers of the Qatari Amiri Naval Forces. Additionally, she previously won the Scientific Excellence Award in the Ph.D. category.
